Hiking Trails
Branson has miles upon miles of hiking trails and beautiful scenery. Here are a few places that we enjoy:
Ruth and Paul Henning Conservation Area
Paul Henning was the creator of the Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction, and Green Acres TV shows. There is a paved parking area with an overlook that is handicapped accessible. The trails themselves can be strenuous in parts.
There are several geocaches along these trails - that is how we found this area.

Lakeside Forest Wilderness Area
A 130 acre park off of Fall Creek Rd, right in the middle of Branson. There are rugged hiking trails, a scenic observation deck, and even 315 hand-lain stone steps. The view is just beautiful. The stone steps lead down to a natural waterfall, Owen’s Falls, and there are 2 caves just past the falls. It feels like you are encompassed by nature, but you are truly right in the middle of Branson.

This trail is 2.2 miles one way and goes over the dam, past the Showboat Branson Belle, and through the Table Rock State Park. It begins at the Dewey Short Visitor Center and ends at the State Park Marina. Map of the trail
Dogwood Canyon Nature Park
There is a fee to enter, but it is a beautiful area with hiking and biking trails, a tram ride, and even the tallest waterfalls in the Ozarks. You can also enjoy trout fishing, horseback riding, kayaking, paddleboats, and even jeep and ATV tours. More information
